Webb1 aug. 2014 · Put everything back together and it cranks very easy on the first pull but still wont run without the choke all the way on. I ran water through the pump while it was running and placed the palm of my hand over the intake for a second and it has plenty of suction and didn't seem to strain the engine. Webb15 maj 2024 · I just put a brand new Kohler CV730 engine on my ztr. Started right up but i can only get it to run on full choke. Will go to full rpms and won't die on full choke either. Take the choke off even just a little and the motor dies. Any ideas?

Webb24 aug. 2013 · If an engine runs. it is getting gas. the choke is kind of nice huh. imagine what would happen if you didn't have a choke. you have opened your jets up and they are delivering to much gas to the cylinder. close the jets and just crack them open. I would check all jets and all passages, and I am under the general impression that jets should never be loose. Have you checked with the Premier people about the loose jets?
