WebMay 20, 2014 · I'm a dedicated if somewhat mediocre silhouette shooter, so my opinion(s) should be considered in that light. I prefer a very muzzle heavy rifle for the Hunting Rifle category. My usual rifle (a Hart barreled 40-X) has a 24 inch medium sported contour barrel that has the added advantage (for me) barrel length adding to the "hang" in NPA.
